Net houses are naturally ventilated climate controlled. A Net house is a structure enclosed by Agro nets or any other woven material to allow required sunlight, moisture and air to pass through the gaps. It creates an appropriate micro climate conducive to the plant growth. It is also referred as Shade net or Net house.
Open ventilated Polyhouse is made out of Polyethylene sheets. Open Ventilated Polyhouses are built of pre-galvanized channel
cum tubular structure wherein crops are grown under a favourable controlled environment and other conditions like temperature, humidity, light intensity,
soil media, disease control, irrigation, fertigation, and other agronomical practices throughout the season irrespective of the natural conditions outside.
Fan and Pad Cooling which uses the heat in the air to evaporate water from plants and other wetted surfaces can be used to cool the greenhouse as much as 10 to 20F below the outside temperature. In this system, aspen or cellulose pads are mounted in one end-wall or side-wall of the Polyhouse. They are supplied with water from a pipe above the pads and excess water is collected in a gutter at the bottom. Air drawn through the wet pads by fansmounted in the opposite end-wall or side-wall is saturated and cools the greenhouse.
Automated monitoring systems are high demand in the country. This monitoring system will constantly monitor the conditions in the Polyhouse to ensure that it remains at preset temperature and light humidity conditions. If these conditions differ from the preset levels, the monitoring system will automatically turn on certain devices to return the Polyhouse to the required conditions. Automatically control the crop growing environment within the walls so that any type of plants can be grown all year round. Eliminates the risk of the Polyhouse not being kept at crop specified conditions due to human error.
A Greenhouse (also called a glasshouse, or, if with sufficient heating, a hothouse) is a structure with walls and roof made chiefly of transparent material, such as glass, in which plants requiring regulated climatic conditions are grown. These structures range in size from small sheds to industrial-sized buildings. A miniature greenhouse is known as a cold frame. The interior of a greenhouse exposed to sunlight becomes significantly warmer than the external ambient temperature, protecting its contents in cold weather.
Many commercial glass greenhouses or hothouses are high tech production facilities for vegetables or flowers. The glass greenhouses are filled with equipment including screening installations, heating, cooling, lighting, and may be controlled by a computer to optimize conditions for plant growth. Different techniques are then used to evaluate optimality- degrees and comfort ratio of greenhouse micro-climate i.e., air temperature, relative humidity and vapor pressure deficit in order to reduce production risk prior to cultivation of a specific crop.
